Following reports of armed robbers targeting groups of people in Birmingham, West Midlands, police officers arrested four people and recovered knives and a gun. The suspects have since been charged with thirteen offences, including possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, having a knife, attempted robbery and robbery.

After youths threw fireworks and eggs at passing cars in Bradford, West Yorkshire, police officers arrested a male on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. During the subsequent search of his home address, officers recovered more drugs, dealer bags, weighing scales, mobile phones, cash and an air rifle.

A man and a teenage boy were treated in hospital after being found with gunshot wounds on a street in Tottenham, North London. The victims, who had both been shot in the leg, are not believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

It has emerged that, in August 2023, police officers Tasered and arrested a man after he repeatedly punched an off-duty officer in the face. The victim had approached the man after seeing him smashing a window at his former partner's home in Newcastle, Tyne & Wear. The injured officer suffered a broken nose, two black eyes and bruising to his ribs and body.

As part of an investigation into 3D-printed firearms production, specialist police officers raided a property in Stalybridge, Greater Manchester and seized 3D-printed guns, ammunition and associated equipment. A man and woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of firearms offences. This week, law enforcement chiefs have called on the Government to make possessing 3D-printed gun blueprints illegal.

A man with a replica gun allegedly threatened a teenage boy before stealing money from him in Canterbury, Kent. Responding police officers seized an imitation firearm and arrested the suspect. Police officers investigating county lines drug dealing raided a property in Wolverhampton, West Midlands and recovered two guns, 177 rounds of ammunition and £15,000 in cash. A man has since been arrested on suspicion of the possession of firearms and obstructing a police officer, while a woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing ammunition and a firearm.
