Police officers responding to reports that shots had been fired in Tottenham, North London, found that a number of parked vehicles had been damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.

A man escaped uninjured after an unknown assailant reportedly shot at his car in Leicester, Leicestershire. No arrests have yet been reported.

A man self-presented at hospital after being shot in the ankle in Liverpool, Merseyside. The shooting is being treated as a targeted attack. Police subsequently recovered a suspected firearm found at a nearby golf course. The weapon will be tested to see if it is viable.

A man reportedly “stormed” into a house in Kirkby, Merseyside and fired a gun, while another man waited outside. The two men then fled on an electric bike. No injuries have been reported.

Armed police officers responded following a report that a man had been shot in the lower half of his body at a property in Birmingham, West Midlands. The victim's injuries are not believed to be life threatening. No arrests have yet been reported.

Farad Aitchegou has been jailed for five years after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, possession of a firearm and possession of live ammunition. In January 2023, police officers searched Aitchegou’s home in Colchester, Essex and recovered a viable bored-out starting pistol and live ammunition from a rucksack hidden behind a sofa. They also found cash, crack cocaine, cannabis and drugs paraphernalia.

David Allen has been jailed for six years after admitting possessing amphetamine and cocaine with intent to supply, possessing a weapon for the discharge of noxious liquid, possessing criminal property and two charges of possessing a prohibited firearm. In July 2023, police officers searched a container at an industrial estate near Bethersden, Kent and recovered drugs with a street value of around £500,000, £70,000 cash, drugs paraphernalia and two viable guns that Allen claimed were antiques. Officers also seized designer watches, ledgers recording deals, a CS spray and a knuckleduster from Allen's home nearby. Following sentencing, a police spokesperson said, “The weapons we found illustrate all to clearly the violence, or threat of violence, which goes hand in hand with drug dealing, and I am pleased those weapons have been taken off the streets.”

Aidan Hollingsworth, aged 27, has been jailed for six months after pleading guilty to possession of an imitation firearm and affray. In April 2022, Hollingsworth was working as a doorman at a bar in Waterloo, Merseyside when he and his colleagues were approached by a man with a large knife. CCTV footage revealed that the man was pushed out of the bar and brought to the ground, and that Hollingsworth pressed an imitation gun against his head. Police later searched Hollingsworth’s home but no weapon was found.
