Police arrested a man after he allegedly shot a teenage male in Slough, Berkshire. Details of the victim's injuries have not been reported. The suspect has since been charged attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a drug of Class B, namely cannabis.

Specialist officers, including a tactical firearms unit, recovered a knife and a shotgun after stopping and searching a car in Brighton, East Sussex. The male driver has since been charged with possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, possession of a firearm and three counts of possession of a knife or bladed article.

A man was treated in hospital after being shot in the leg in Liverpool, Merseyside. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The victim had been standing with a group of people when large bangs were heard from a nearby parking area. The group initially thought the noise had come from fireworks but they quickly flagged down a passing patrol after realising one man had suffered a thigh wound. Police are trying to trace the occupants of two vehicles seen leaving the area shortly after the shots were fired.

Following reports of people being struck by pellets fired from a car in Stamford, Lincolnshire, police arrested two teenage males and seized an X-shot hyper gel gun and pellets. Click on media link to read full report.

Two Swans have died after being shot at a park in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The male of the breeding pair died at the scene, having been shot in the neck. The female died at an animal hospital after suffering five shots to the head. Police have appealed for information.

Akeel Hussain, 23, and Mohammed Rafiq, 22, have been jailed for fifteen years and four years, respectively, for their involvement in the fatal drive-by shooting of a man in Dudley, West Midlands in January 2021. The victim was shot in his head outside his home and died later the same day. Following an investigation, Hussain was identified as playing a “prominent role” in planning the shooting and was subsequently found guilty of manslaughter. Rafiq was found guilty of attempting to pervert the course of justice after he attempted to conceal the car involved in the attack. Two other men were jailed earlier this year after being convicted of the man’s murder.

The bodies of two foxes that appeared to have been shot in the head have been found dumped in a community garden in Swindon, Wiltshire. The incident has been reported to police. 

Four gang members have been jailed for a total of more than 50 years after being convicted of firearm and drug offences. Jayden Gorewoda, Jason Mility, Damion Martin and Zak Charles were members of a violent gang that sold large amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin in Mansfield, Kirkby, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. The group was also involved in the shooting of a rival gang leader. The four men were arrested following a covert police operation and after flaunting their wealth online. After being convicted of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition and conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs, Gorewoda, 28, was jailed for twenty-two years, while Mility, 33, and Martin, 41, each received fourteen years and Charles, 21, was handed ten years. Other gang members were sentenced in 2021 for their part in the operation.
