A man went into a store in Andover, Hampshire, brandishing a BB gun and was said to have been abusive to staff. He was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of an imitation firearm with the intention to cause fear of violence.

A teenager suffered a puncture wound to his chest caused by an air rifle after being shot in Bromley, South London. He was taken by air ambulance to hospital where his injuries were described as non-life threatening.

An air pistol was stolen from the home of an elderly couple following a distraction burglary in Stowlangtoft, Suffolk.

Six shotguns and ammunition were stolen during a burglary on a house in Rumburgh, Suffolk. A gun cabinet was pulled from the wall and stolen. Two antique figurines were also stolen. Police are investigating whether there are links to two teenagers who were arrested after reports someone had discharged weapons from a vehicle in Ilketshall St Andrew. A shotgun and shotgun cartridges were discovered when firearms officers stopped the vehicle.

Andrew Baugh from Whitechapel, east London, admitted possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence has been warned he faces prison. He aimed a "gun-shaped" bag, which actually contained a tow bar, at a clamper and said he did not want to shoot him.
