Members of a magnet fishing group pulled four guns from a canal in Glasgow, Scotland. The weapons were handed into a police station where they could be made safe.

The RSPCA is investigating after the bodies of three roe deer, a barn owl and a fox were found by local residents on fields around Woking Palace, Surrey. All the animals had suffered wounds that appeared to be bullet holes.

After police officers stopped a suspected stolen car following a pursuit in Brownhills, West Midlands, a gun and machete were recovered from the vehicle. Two teenage boys, who ran away from the scene, were detained nearby and arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm, possessing a bladed weapon and theft of a motor vehicle.

A man allegedly shot dead a greylag goose with an air rifle in Mereside, Cambridgeshire. He has since being cautioned for killing a wild bird.

Police officers responded following reports of man seen with a gun in Southsea, Hampshire. Four men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

After a fire at a house in Hackney, North London Injured four people, a man was charged with arson with intent to endanger life, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. Warren Williams, aged 20, has been jailed for eight years and two months after pleading guilty to Section 18 wounding and possession of a firearm. In November 2022, Williams shot a man in the leg in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. The victim, who sustained serious injuries, refused to cooperate with police. He has since been jailed for affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place in connection with an incident on the day of the shooting. Williams’ co-defendant, 23-year-old Cole Kelly, was jailed for three years and four months for assisting an offender.

A man has been shot in Bolton, Greater Manchester. His injuries are not believed to be serious. No arrests have yet been reported.

A man allegedly threatened a delivery driver in Birmingham, West Midlands with what looked like a handgun before stealing a parcel. Armed police officers responded and a suspected firearm was found in a nearby garden. No arrests have yet been made.
