The Infer Trust makes every effort to record and categorise the firearms incidents reported in the UK but we recognise that it is not a complete record.

If you are aware of a gun incident which is not listed please notify us.  You can do this by either sending us the link for an on line report, or a hard copy of a press article to our address.

Liam Timms, 23 and of no fixed address, has been jailed for seventeen years after being found guilty of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life. Timms presented himself at Warwick Hospital with a shotgun wound to his left hand about ten minutes after a man in Coventry, Warwickshire was shot in the right forearm and left thigh. A Seat Leon was seen speeding away from the area and was later found, partly burned-out. Police discovered Timms’ blood and a partly-melted unfired shotgun cartridge in the vehicle. The shotgun was not recovered, but was surmised to be a sawn-off shotgun as it had been fired inside the car. A second man, who had been in the car at the time of the incident, was found not guilty of the same charge.

The three masked robbers forced their way into the property and threatened to blow the victim's head off while pointing an imitation gun at him if he did not open his safe.
