A man was found dead with a gunshot wound at his home in Trimdon, County Durham. Police were not treating his death as suspicious.

A gunman is believed to have fired his weapon towards the entrance of a nightclub in Finsbury. No-one was injured. Bullet casings were found in the street and police have released CCTV images of a man wanted in connection with the incident.

A man threatened to shoot staff at a bank in Leatherhead, Surrey. No weapon was seen, but staff handed over a large sum of cash. Surrey Police are investigating possible links with similar incidents in Ashford, Shepperton and Egham. Two other men may have been involved in the robbery.

Police are hunting for a man who pistol-whipped a South African man in a racist attack in Paisley. The victim was struck with the butt of a silver handgun as he walked along a street. Racist insults were hurled at him.

Craig Platt from Kinmel Bay, Conwy, pointed a loaded air rifle at his wife a few days after learning of her child's paternity when he appeared on ITV's The Jeremy Kyle Show. He admitted possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and was given an indeterminate sentence for public protection.

A 16-year-old has been charged with petrol bomb attacks and shooting children with an air rifle. He is accused of shooting and wounding boys aged 13, 14 and 15 on a footpath in Kilwinning, Ayrshire. He also faces charges of illegally possessing an air rifle as well as a charge relating to the petrol bombs.
