Kabir Khan, Atif Imran and Sajeer Khan have been jailed for nineteen years, seventeen years and ten years, two months respectively for possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life; Imran admitted the charge while the Khans denied involvement but were found guilty. After all three men chased a gang rival into a chip shop in Birmingham, West Midlands, Kabir Khan discharged a .41 Colt revolver through the door. Although no one was hurt — the bullet lodging in a sign behind the counter — customers, including three children, dived for cover. Following information from the community, the Khans were identified as potential suspects. The getaway car, clothes worn by the shooter, and computer and mobile phone evidence led to the men’s arrests.
