Armed raiders fled without stealing any money when a shopkeeper at a convenience store in Batley, West Yorkshire refused to open the till. One of the assailants allegedly struck the shopkeeper three times with a baseball bat before pointing what was described as a pistol at him. Another of the raiders guarded the shopkeeper’s wife with a bat. The victim needed stitches for a head wound following the attack. |
