Armed police officers responded following reports of a shooting in Clapham, South London. A man, found at the scene with potentially life-changing injuries, was rushed to hospital. Three men have since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and firearm offences.

Tomasz Borowski, aged 36, has been jailed for three years and eight months after pleading guilty to production of a Class B drug, having an offensive weapon and possessing prohibited weapons. In June 2022, police officers raided a cannabis farm in Hartlepool, Co. Durham and recovered 72 plants, a police-style baton, a can of pepper spray and a Taser. Borowski, who was found asleep on a mattress in the living room of the property, was forensically linked to a second cannabis farm in the area.

After armed police officers recovered a firearm from a car in Redcar, North Yorkshire, three people were arrested. Two men were subsequently charged: one, with possessing a shotgun without a certificate and racially aggravated intentional harassment and, the other, with two counts of possessing a shotgun when prohibited for life. A woman, arrested for firearms offences, was bailed pending further enquiries.

Armed police officers were deployed following reports of a gun seen in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. After chasing and stopping a vehicle, officers arrested a man, a teenage boy and a teenage girl on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. No one was injured.

Joshua Tyrell, aged 18, has been handed a fourteen-month suspended prison term and ordered to complete a drug rehabilitation requirement course and 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days after admitting possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of a Class A drug. In April 2023, Tyrell pointed an imitation gun at three people in Bolton, Greater Manchester after they refused to give him a lift. A force helicopter helped locate Tyrell and armed police officers recovered the weapon and arrested him. One of the victims reported suffering with ongoing anxiety.

Police officers stopped a car in Birmingham, West Midlands and recovered a suspected viable gun from the vehicle. A man and a woman have since been charged with possession of a firearm.

Father and son, 22-year-old Imani and 44-year-old Kinley Abrahams, have been jailed for more than four years for possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear. In January 2022, Imani Abrahams drive a stolen car to a street in Chatham, Kent, before Kinley got out of the vehicle and fired a blank-firing gun at a rival group. A man and his daughter dived for cover, believing the gun to be real. The court heard that the attack was part of an ongoing feud with a man whom Imani Abrahams believed had disrespected him.

Armed police officers responded following reports of a person with a gun in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire. Officers recovered an imitation firearm and arrested a man in connection with the incident. No one was injured.

A teenage boy was treated in hospital after being found with a serious gunshot Injury at a residential address in Brixton, South London. No arrests have yet been made.
