Lukasz Kaczmarski and Jacek Koscik have been jailed for possessing an imitation weapon and affray in Radford, Nottingham. The men took the gun to an off-licence which had earlier refused to sell Koscik alcohol where Kaczmarski pointed at the head of a staff member and threatened to kill him. The shopkeeper slapped the weapon out of his hand and threw him out of the store. Kaczsmarki, who claimed the comments were a joke, was jailed for 3 years while Koscik was jailed for 2.

Three men were arrested on suspicion of assault, burglary and supplying drugs in Ulverston, Cumbria. Armed officers arrested the men who had allegedly been to a number of properties in the town armed with gun. Police discovered a man and a woman who had sustained minor injuries and recovered handcuffs and a large amount of cash from a vehicle they stopped in the area. The men have been bailed.

Jake Chetwynd has been jailed for a year for possessing an imitation firearm and intending cause fear unlawful violence. He fired an air weapon similar to a BB gun at the part-open window of a car on the road while he was being driven to work in Leicester after an argument with the vehicle's driver. The driver responded by giving chase, driving dangerously in order to detain Chetwynd, until he was arrested by police.

The twin brother of a convicted rapist has been assaulted by armed gunmen in Midlothian. The gang attempted to abduct the victim with what was believed to be a shotgun in the presence of his wife and mother until he was able to show his identification. The victim had previously had his house petrol-bombed, been beaten up, and had to move because of vigilante attacks aimed at his brother.

A cat who was five-weeks pregnant was shot twice with a high-powered air rifle in Mitcham, south west London. Vets were unable to remove the pellets from the 1-year-old due to the risk to her unborn kittens.

Police were called by members of the public after gunshots were heard in the village of Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire. Officers found out that the sounds had been produced by movie studios in the area during rehearsals for a new film.

Lee Pettite, 18, has been jailed for 6 and a half years for 2 robberies, an attempted robbery, aggravated burglary with a knife, possession of a knife, two offences of possessing an offensive weapon, and possession of a firearm in a public place. Pettite carried out 4 armed robberies in 3 days in Eston, North Yorkshire before he was arrested by armed police.

Kieran Staff has been jailed for 5 years after pleading guilty to possessing a prohibited firearm and ammunition while banned from possession because of a previous conviction. The Tanfoglio self-loading .22 calibre pistol and 9 rounds of live ammunition were found in the garden of an empty house in Nottingham, and linked to Staff as he had a prior conviction for possessing a loaded gun.

Leon Young has been jailed for 14 years for a series of five armed robberies in towns throughout Essex. He stole a total of £4,000 cash using a firearm to frighten convenience store staff. He was arrested by the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad.

An 18-year-old male has reported to hospital with gunshot wounds after reports of shots fired in Liverpool. The victim is said to be in 'critical condition' after what police believe was a targeted attack.
