Jason Allen, aged 43 and from Leeds, West Yorkshire, has been jailed for two years after admitting a charge of actual bodily harm, theft of the car and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. When his partner told him she wanted to end their relationship in May this year, Allen applied pressure to her neck and pinned her to the floor. When the woman reported the incident to police, she told them he had previously threatened her with a gun. Police officers discovered an imitation firearm under some floorboards at Allen’s grandmother’s house.
