The coroner at the inquest into the death of a man in Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire in April this year has concluded a verdict of suicide, cause of death being shotgun injury to the head. The man, who left a suicide note, was said to have been suffering from an "acute depressive illness" brought on by money worries and relationship problems. He had been prescribed anti-depressants by his GP in October 2018; however, he denied any thoughts of self-harm at that time. The shotgun belonged to the deceased and had been used for clay pigeon shooting. |
