Summary:

A 6-year-old boy was injured in the back and hand after a gunman allegedly discharged a shotgun at his home in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. The victim, his brother and a third boy were in the front garden when a man with a double-barrelled sawn-off shotgun chased three people up the street. As the boys rushed inside, the gunman reportedly opened fire. It is thought that the attacker may have mistakenly believed his target had taken cover inside the house. The victim suffered a broken finger and required surgery to remove shrapnel. His father said that he has been unable to sleep since the assault. A man and a teenage male have since been arrested on suspicion of wounding.
