Police officers attended following reports of three teenage boys in possession of a gun at a shopping centre in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. On stopping and searching a car and its occupants, officers established that the weapon was a BB gun that the teenagers were using to make a film for a school project. A police spokesperson said: “They have been given strong words of advice around their actions and their parents are being contacted.”
