Anthony McLaughlin, Leon Usher, Christopher Kerr and Wayne Allando Holness have all been found guilty by a jury of conspiracy to murder. Their victim, who was not the intended target, suffered a wound to his leg when a sawn-off shotgun was discharged through the letterbox of a flat in South Oxhey, Hertfordshire in December last year. Kerr and Holness were present at the time of the shooting, while McLaughlin and Usher were shown to be involved in the agreement to murder through detailed analysis of phone records. The day after the shooting, police recovered cannabis and a large quantity of cash from a property in Croydon, as well as the shotgun and seven cartridges from a car parked nearby. The four men are due to be sentenced later this month. |
